Meet Vesper
Vesper is the cottage's storyteller. Every one of her tales opens the same way: she lights a candle, looks up, and begins. Her spooky shorts wander the cottage all year, and her three-part tale The November Guest has already come and gone with the autumn dark.
She wears a dried deep-plum rose with bare twigs in her hair, and she knows every elf, raven, and thorned gate in this place by name. Follow her stories, and the cottage will start to feel like somewhere you have been before.

Lucia, the Candle Bearer
Second of the twelve, Lucia carries the flame that starts every evening in the cottage, including every one of Vesper's stories. All twelve elves are gathered in The Collection.

Krampusnacht, December 5
On the night of December 5, Krampus makes his rounds. The cottage marks it the way it marks everything: with a dark fact in the morning, told by candlelight, and a black mug raised after dark.

The Artist
One artist. One cottage. Zero shortcuts.
After Dark Cottage started the way the best dark things do: one artist, a stack of blank pages, and a head full of ravens. What began in late-night sessions in Pensacola, Florida became an Etsy shop in 2024, and the shop became a whole gothic cottage universe.
Every design starts with a vision, molded into what you see, from the twin moons to the twelve Gothmas elves. Nothing is stock, nothing is traced, nothing is phoned in. If it carries the thorned-A emblem, it began as one artist's original vision.
The cottage keeps growing: three coloring book volumes, a daily dark fact, Vesper's candlelit stories, and a novel taking shape chapter by chapter, its world teased in atmosphere and small details, never spoiled.

How long until my order ships?
Everything is made to order by our print partners through Printify, and the coloring books are printed through Amazon. Please allow 4–7 business days for your order to be prepared before it ships, and order early in the holiday season.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Orders are placed through Etsy, which handles international shipping and checkout. You can check the delivery options for your country on any listing in the shop.
What about returns and exchanges?
If something is not right, reach out through Etsy and we will sort it out. For a return, the customer sends the original item back first, at their own shipping cost, and the refund follows once it arrives.
How do the discount codes work?
New Coven members get WELCOME10 for 10% off a first order, and word-of-mouth friends carry GOTHCLUB10. Shop codes do not stack with sale prices: Etsy applies the best single offer to each item.
How do I ask something else?
Message the shop on Etsy, or send a DM on Instagram, Threads, or Facebook. Questions about products are always welcome; that is what the cottage door is for.
